PUBLIC SPEAKER
Lia is an eloquent, powerful and engaging public speaker who is able to captivate an audience across a range of subjects. Her ability to thread stories, research and real life examples makes her accessible to audiences from all walks of life.
Lia developed her public speaking ability through her education training “if you can command a room full of 14 year olds then you can hold any audience”. The other skill that her education training taught her was an ability to take big picture concepts and make them accessible to anyone. This has meant that Lia is comfortable both in a board room or around the campfire (she prefers the latter). Clear, open and transparent communication has been at the core of all her work which has had a focus on young people, elders, First Nations and Pasifika communities.
